I am excited about the incoming team of presidents for the 2020-21 year. Regardless of what has been your involvement in Rotary leadership thus far, you will find your year as president invigorating and rewarding. I want to give you my commitment that your district leadership team is here to serve you and your club as you prepare for your year as president.

In order to help you access a treasure of useful information and tools, the first thing you will want to do is to create your personal account in My Rotary (My Rotary).

As you may know our district works together with seven other districts here in the Northeast to put together a robust training program to help prepare our local club presidents to lead their clubs.  This group effort will culminate at the Northeast President-Elect Training Seminar (NEPETS) which will be held March 5-7, 2020.  We want our 480 presidents-elect to have a basic foundation of knowledge about Rotary before coming to NEPETS.  We have sent these letters out every 3 weeks or so before our pre-PETS meeting  Here is our list of topics:
  1. My Rotary:  How to utilize this resource for goals and education
  2. Leadership as president: Leadership skills and video
  3. Membership:  Tools and best practices
  4. Public Image:  Great tools to advance your image in your community
  5. The Rotary Foundation:  Understanding the basics
Along with these online resources, we are planning a district wide pre-PETS seminar on February 8th in Lebanon, NH at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The main goal is for you to have a foundation of Rotary knowledge for you to be successful as president before you reach the 2-day NEPETS program March 5-7th at the Sheraton, Framingham Ma. These events will also allow you to get to know and develop relationships with your fellow incoming presidents in your area.

I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and helping to make your year as president successful.

Yours in Rotary Service,

Steve Puderbaugh
District Governor 2020-21
