District Rotary Foundation Lunch, Saturday November 16, 2024.
We are pleased to announce our first post-Covid in-person Rotary Foundation Event on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 12:30PM. We will be holding a celebratory lunch at the Little Red School House in Wallingford Vermont. Our chef is Wallingford Past President and gourmet chef Erika Berner. Price $35/person. Chef Erika tells me that we will start with a selection of appetizers. The main course will be a choice of Beef Medallions or Poached Salmon.
Our keynote speaker will be Rotary Foundation Trustee Marty Peak Helman. Marty is a member of the Rotary Club of Boothbay Harbor Maine; she was District Governor of District 7780 in 2012-13 and is an Arch Klumph Society Member. Among many topics, she will be talking about Rotary launching a new peace center at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Our District Governor Bill Stevens will be the master of ceremonies. Our District Rotary Foundation Chair Dianne Barclay will talk about why we give to the Rotary Foundation. Some of our fellow Rotarians will talk about their District and/or Global Grant experiences. We will also recognize Rotarians who have increased their support for The Rotary Foundation and why it is their charity of choice.
