We hope everyone enjoys a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend as we celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary. It's a wonderful time to reflect on our history, celebrate our communities, and look ahead to another year of Service Above Self.
As we begin a new Rotary year, congratulations to all of our clubs on their Change Over celebrations, and a warm welcome to our incoming Presidents and officers. We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to District Governor Ruth Clough on her induction as our District Governor for 2026–2027. At the same time, we offer our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Governor Donna Deos for her year of devoted leadership and service to District 7870. Throughout the coming year, our Assistant Governors will be reaching out to their clubs to share district news and provide support. Please take advantage of these outstanding leaders, they are a great resource for your club's success.
We extend our sincere thanks to Marty Cohn and Maureen Mooney for their many years of publishing the District Newsletter. Their dedication to keeping our members informed has been greatly appreciated.
Building on that tradition, we are excited to continue sharing the stories of our district through District News Bulletin. We want to highlight the amazing work happening in every club—from service projects and fundraisers to youth programs, awards, and community events.
Submitting your news is easy. Simply send your stories, photos, and event information—in any format—to district7870@gmail.com by the 10th of each month, and we'll do the rest. We'll reach out to clubs throughout the year to ensure all have an opportunity to be featured.
We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments and sharing the many ways Rotary is making a difference across District 7870.
