Hello District 7870 Rotarians,

Amid our bright colors and falling leaves, I hope you are having a wonderful autumn season. Many of the clubs have had some amazing events and fundraisers over the last few weeks and are now starting to gear up for holiday events.

I would like to thank IPDG Donna for a great Zoom seminar on how the new Rotary International Membership Referral system works. I was late joining the Zoom because of another commitment, but when I joined, the group was having an interactive Q&A session that went at least 30 minutes beyond the scheduled time. The session is now available on the District website for anyone who missed it.

Our next District Zoom will be on November 18th as part of Rotary Foundation Month. The session will be led by Jack Tulley of the Nashua club. Look for more information regarding the time and Zoom link.

For the clubs I have not visited yet, here are some upcoming dates to look forward to. The weekend of March 13th will be our District-wide food drive. May 21–23 will be the District Conference at Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, Vermont. This year, we will be holding the conference along with District 7850 (northern Vermont and New Hampshire) and District 7780 (the Portland area of Maine). It should be a great time as we celebrate our accomplishments of the year.

I also want to congratulate the Bow Rotary Club for winning the District Golf Tournament this year. The tournament was held at Newport Golf Club on Tuesday, September 29th, after a one-day rain delay.

Lastly, if I have not been to your club yet and you are not on the schedule for a visit, please get in touch with me so that we can get your club scheduled. For the clubs whose visits I have had to reschedule, I apologize, and let's get them back on the schedule as well.

Hope you all have an amazing rest of the foliage season!

DG Ruth
