Starting a new Rotary club takes vision, determination, and a dedicated team of volunteers. The Rotary Club of Windham is a wonderful example of what can be accomplished when Rotarians and community leaders work together toward a common goal. The club invites Rotarians, friends, and community members to celebrate its official Charter Celebration on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The event commemorates the club's chartering earlier this year and marks the successful completion of an extraordinary journey—from the first conversation to an official Rotary club in less than a year.
Club President Michael Lucci credits the club's Development Organization Team, along with the guidance of PDG Bill Stevens, for making the vision a reality. He also recognizes the invaluable support of PDG Donna Deos, Learning Facilitator Ian Bowker, and Londonderry Rotarian Paul Richter, whose efforts following the September 24, 2025 information night helped accelerate the club's formation.
Special appreciation goes to Bill Urbon, a former Chicago-area Rotarian, who led the administrative process by securing the club's New Hampshire nonprofit registration, Rotary International charter application, and IRS Employer Identification Number. The club also benefited from the legal expertise of team members and attorneys Grant Cunningham and Rob Weingarten, who assisted in developing the club's bylaws.
The Windham Rotary Club is especially grateful to Al and Patti Letizio for generously providing meeting space at the A.J. Letizio Enterprise Center throughout the club's formation. The club also extends sincere thanks to Kristen Sudati and Donna Bramante InDelicato of The Windham Independent for sharing the club's story and helping build community awareness from the very beginning.
